It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Murray Gorson on Saturday, January 4, 2020, 7 Tevet 5780. Murray was the beloved husband of Phyllis Gorson, and the father of Jamie, Eric and Michelle Gorson. He was the son of Janice & S. Marshall (z”l) Gorson, and the brother of Sherrie Willner, Lynne Cohen, and Gigi Gorson-Marrow.
Murray was born on November 12, 1955 and passed while playing pickleball with professionals at a tournament in Ocean Reef, which was his favorite place.
While at Lehigh University, Murray was a member of the Kappa Alpha Society where he served as intramural manager and treasurer. Murray graduated from Lehigh in 1978 with a business degree.
In his younger days Murray was an avid tennis and ice hockey player and was frequently seen at Flyers games. Recently he was a devout pickleball fan and certified pickleball instructor. The words most often used to describe Murray were quiet, passionate, thoughtful and caring, he will be missed by all who knew him.
