Joshua Wilson Stout III, VL ’54

Joshua Wilson Stout III, age 84, of Wilkins Twp., passed peacefully on Monday, January 23, 2017, after a 12-year journey with Alzheimer’s Disease. Loving husband of Barbara Byers Stout for 53 years; proud and loving father of Heidi Byers Stout, Joshua Wilson Stout IV, and Holly Elizabeth Anderson; beloved grandfather of Josh, Zak, and Kaya.

Wilson was a graduate of Lehigh University where he obtained a Master’s and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and a member of the Kappa Alpha Society. He worked his entire career as an engineer at the Bettis Atomic Power Lab. Wilson loved the outdoors, hiking, camping and was an avid Steelers fan.

Fraternity brothers remember Wilson as “always a most pleasant man to be with and always with a smile” and as “a gentle man of quiet brilliance who loved to go to movies”.
