You and your family and/or significant other are invited to attend the KA in VL tailgate before the Lehigh-Monmouth football game on Saturday, October 1. Festivities will start at 9:30 a.m. We have reserved a tailgate space in the grassy field east of the paved parking lot behind Stabler Arena (southeast of the traffic circle). This is the area where Greek and other larger groups typically tailgate. We will have a 20′ x 20′ rental tent set up in space S4.
Plan on reconnecting with fellow Kaps before the 12:00 kickoff at Lehigh’s Goodman Stadium. Your Kappa Alpha Alumni Association of Lehigh University will provide the tailgate food. You’ll just need to bring your own beverages and chairs, as needed. Per Lehigh’s rules; please do not bring any beverages in glass containers. Lehigh also limits how many cars can park in this grassy field, so please park in the adjacent gravel or paved lots if you are physically capable of walking over to our tent.
Note that Lehigh has designated this football game as Dog Day. The Lehigh website states that fans are invited to bring their well-trained dogs on a leash to the game. We’re extending the same invitation to our tailgate party.
PLEASE LET MARK MESSICS () KNOW IF YOU WILL BE ATTENDING THE TAILGATE (with a headcount) SO THAT WE ORDER ENOUGH FOOD. Feel free to just tailgate and skip the game. Similarly, if you arrive late, you can always find a core group of Kaps sitting behind the Marching 97 in the stadium.
